The tool that we are going to find the publication date of a website is–The Wayback Machine. Yes, it is a website that crawls and saves the web pages of the entire Internet. You can easily find out when a site was published by entering the website URL in the search box.
What Is Wayback Machine
The Wayback Machine is a non-profit organization that stores all the pages of the World Wide Web. The Wayback Machine is based in San Francisco, California, United States.
The Internet Archive is the parent company of the Wayback Machine. The Wayback Machine was launched in a mission to archive the whole Internet. It is been saving the webpage of the entire world wide web since 1996.
At first, all the data was stored in digital tapes and was not made public till 2001. After 5 years of archiving the web pages of the Internet, the service was made publicly available. At present, the size of data collected is tremendous and therefore stored in high capacity Linux servers.
The data of the websites is automatically captured by the Wayback Machine. Also, it revisits the webpage every often and stores the latest version in its memory. Furthermore, the snapshot of a website can also be taken manually by just entering the URL into the search box of the Wayback Machine. Let’s see how it is done.

I entered my website–https://hackingpress.com and hit enter.
You can see that my website is saved over 35 times ranging from March 26, 2004, to November 27, 2018. I hovered on the date March 26’th and saw one snapshot was captured for this domain name. I clicked on the snapshot and found this saved webpage.
